At first we thought they were all boys, but on the 8th of April 2012 that all changed… We found 4 baby rabbits in their hutch. Then we saw that Winter was the mum! Next we checked December and found that he was a girl, and she was pregnant, and Comfrey is the dad!

December: December is 1 year old, she is the biggest of the all the rabbits. She belongs to Lucia Parker. And is the black rabbit.
Winter: Winter is 1 year old and is the latest mum; she is about the same size as Comfrey but may be a little bit taller. She belongs to Tavia/Fizzy Parker. And is the White rabbit
Comfrey: Comfrey is year old and is the dad! He is the smallest out of all the rabbits. He belongs to Jessica Bamsey.
December had her babies on the 18th of April 2012 she had: 3 white babies, 2 black babies and 1 brown and black baby. Sadly, 2 of the white babies have died and they were called April and Lottie. But a vet has confirmed that the black and brown baby is a boy that is now called Jake, and all the others are girls, Promise, Ebony and Midnight!
Some thing else happend to the rabbits is well… Winter had another 6 babies! They are called: Rebecca, Blaze, Fluff and Ginge (some sadly died). The other 3 (one died at birth) had to be moved from the pen so Winter could give her new babies milk. The other 3 that had been named: Fern, Ivy and Lexi, were put in a new cage. Sadly, Lexi and Fern died, but Ivy pulled through, she is now with the other bunnies, still healthy and happy. 1 of the 6 new babies have died, but everyone expected it to, as it was the runt of the litter.
Last year (2012) we went to chagford show. we took Blaze (white) , Comfurey (White with Black nose, ears, tail and paws), Jake ( brown & black) , December ( brown & black ) and Ivy ( Very Fluffy and White). December, Comfurey, and Ivy came back with a highly recommended rosette each. Blaze got 5th and Jake came 2nd! Jake and Blaze were super terrified with it all though Blaze got other it quickly, but Jake took almost a year to recover from it all!!! This year’s Chagford show gave us better results, we took Blaze, Ivy, December and Ebony. Blaze got 4th, Ivy came 2nd And December and Ebony both got Highly recommended again.
BIG NEWS!!!
Rebecca, one of Winter’s babies, was given to our friends, she escaped but luckily came back! BUT, not long after that, She had 9 BABIES! 1 died at birth which leaves us with 8 Grandchildren! AND, some escaped ( they did have wild blood in them) so our rabbit family will NEVER END!!!
And talking about never ending… Rebecca’s baby, Terence has been bred with Lottie (2nd) a rabbit from Trago shopping centre, and has had 5 new babies!!!
